I know that on Fords the holes are all the same on 2wd vs. 4wd frames. Easiest way to find out if you can do the swap on your Chevys is to measure the distance of the holes for your front leaf springs (from some easy to reach fixed point) and then go to your 2wd and see if the same holes are there in the frame. Do the same thing for the transfer case crossmember. Write back with any questions, this is my cup of tea.
