I'd keep looking. An unrestored not running F20 is an easy find and should bring under a grand in most areas. Running, unrestored F20's are posted in the adds almost weekly for around $1500. They are a neat old tractor, but one that is not running could run big bucks to bring back to life. If it needs sleeves, your looking at about $200 a hole and $150 or so each for the main bearings. There should be a serial number stamped on the frame rail (carb side of the tractor) near the bell housing. You can probably wire brush that area and get the serial number.
