What type of oil do you run in it? if its something like a 10W-30 or any thing like that thats part of the problem, old engines like oil like 30,40,or 50 weight oils better. Also when they where made it was hard to find anything but that type of oil.
Now that that is said if you do run a stright weight oil you probably have some loose bearings in the engine
