Thanks for the replies. I did try to disengage the PTO, but it doesn't want to move. That is the little lever beside the driver's seat on left, correct? Anyway, I tried like heck, till the lever started to bend, but it won't move. I haven't ever seen the tractor roll; I got it with the engine frozen up. And I wish I never had, its been a pain since I got it. I needed a loader around the property, and this one has a weird arm thing with a bucket on it that has hoses to it so I figured I'd rebuild the engine and never did in time, so things got rusty. So, if the PTO is engaged the spline won't freewheel? Damn,I'd hate to take the transmission apart. What a mess. Anybody want a tractor . Cheap?
