Mark, I am inclined to agree with Jerry, that there is a fuel problem, the fact that you can keep it running by playing with the choke rules out any electrical problem. You have a drain cock on the carb and when you open it you should let it run into a container and let it run for a good minute, the stream should be a good "pee" and it shouldn't slow down during the time the carb is open, if draining the carb doesn't do it you need to get at that needle valve, good luck from Mike in Exeter Ontario
