Brad, something to keep in mind after following the advice below is that the H4 magneto should not be "tuned" with the engine running. It is a real temptation for guys that have fooled with automobile engines to start twisting on a mag. The mechanical advance is preset in the impulse mechanism and unless it fails to disengage (you will hear a constant clicking after startup), correct timing is achieved. Turning the mag from the TDC mark will only make the engine more difficult to start.
