either way itsn't all that diffucult, change the coil or cut a wire and crimp on a couple connectors. the resistor route is cheaper, I think I paid about $4 for one for an 85 dodge pickup, and its got a hole in it for mounting, I cut a small peice of strap metal drilled 2 holes in it and mounted it right with the coil, on the bolt for the coil strap. Also has the benefit of not having to replace both if one goes bad.
