Corey: I will be following this post with great interest. I bought a W-9 at an auction last August. The auction flyer listed the W-9 as a 1950 model year with S/N 8866DE. My brother says, however, that the casting codes on the W-9 denote this tractor as a 1947. Where the seller came up with 8866DE I do not know. I have not looked. Due to forgetfulness, laziness, and the tractor being parked 4 miles from my home, I have not attempted to look at the data plate that is supposed to be on the gas tank support bracket. I am now armed with data books and hope to get this resolved soon. In the meantime, I will be watching this thread.
