M gas head #8060 or 8574 will be same as MTA. M crankshaft will work but most had smaller main and rod journals than MTA, some late M and all SM had bigger journals. Both cranks will work in either block as long as the right bearings for crankshaft are used.Make sure to use a front cover on engine that MTA hydraulic pump will bolt to.
