True,lots of folks don't need manual in order to work on these old tractors,because of their vast knowledge & years of experience. We have parts manuals for every tractor we own. They're helpful in disassembly/assembly and when ordering parts.I seldom buy the IH service manuals unless it's a bargain.I.T. manuals are good for torque values,minor adjustments,etc. Another thing to think about is, if your somewhat inexperienced, are willing to spend the money to get the tractor of your dreams & restore it, the $30-45 for at least a parts manual is a small investment.Another good point that has already been made is, there's untold amounts of knowledge on Y/T discussion forum & these people are always willing to help. Y/T is second to none!!!
