i bought an early 706 last fall. i like this tractor alot. one of the reasons i bought it was because of how good the shifters all felt. everything is very crisp, and i havnt had any trouble catching gears or ranges. i used to work for a farmer with a late 706 who had all sorts of shifter problems. he had it rebushed once to take up play, and then from being hard on it getting into reverse he broke a roll pin or something, and it was stuck in low range for a while. he never used this tractor for loader work, it might have seen a backblade one or two days a year. i have a 2000 series ih loader. i think i read somewehre that they were designed for 06's. so heres my question, will i regret putting this loader onto this tractor. right now im thinking only ocasional loader use, but im sure if it was on there i would be using it for everyhting. i have never had a loader on a tractor and can see it being very handy. thanks in advance. nate
