Anything that is worn can cause the shimmy. Some of the simpler things to do are; Check for any loose joints in the steering shaft, check the front plug for being loose and the brg. The nut that holds the worm gear may be loose. The worm gear can be removed and rotated 1/2 turn to make use of teeth that have no wear. The worst senario is to pull the bolster out, have it built up and replace the bushings.
