Hello, I'm new here, but judging by the content I figured this would be the place to ask about a tractor. Don't know what year it was made, but it looks old. Guessing 50's vintage. The chrome plate on the side says 300 utilty. International is on the engine cover. I am not a tractor person, but I borrowed one to use the auger attachment. Learned a long time ago to check fluids in equipment. Especially borrowed equipment. I checked water, engine oil, but can't figure out where the hydraulic fluid is checked. There appears to be a hydraulic pump at the front of the engine with a cap. I can see no fluid of any kind in this "pump". This pump is connected with 2 steel lines that go to the hydraulic block mounted on top of the rear end. Is this where the hy-fluid is checked? Also, what kind of oil is in the rear end? Just regular, heavy gear oil like a car? Any info would be apreciated. Thanks.
