Sorry, can't help you with your question, but I like the spirit of your project. I always thought it would be interesting to take a Packard or Jaguar basket case (where the engine and transmission were completely gone) and drop in a more reliable modern power plant, like the small-block Chevy. I imagine you may take some guff from the restoration folk about your F-20 project, but don't listen. Its your tractor; do with it what you will. :-) Personally, I'd like to see some of the "pasture guards" get a new lease on life, even if it is with a different engine than the original.
