About 3 months ago, I re-did a 706 diesel, and the wiring harness was still available from CNH at a reasonable cost (compared to some I've bought for OTHER MAKES). It might be worthwile to check this out at your local dealer, and while you're there, talk them into printing out a copy of the wiring diagram for you.
