thats a darn good question. i have a 706 with a 263(i believe). in the winter i run 10w oil. when cold it pushes 30-40. once it's warm it runs about 20 at idle and back to 30-35 when you turn the throttle up. in the summer i run 30w oil and it runs the same pressure ranges. i've been told by the ih dealer that it is just fine. the tractor has 12000hrs and i have know idea what has been done to the motor. i just did a head gasket last fall. the cylinder walls were just fine. i assume it has been resleeved since it was in such good shape. my 2 cents
