Jeff, I just put the studs back into the block on the H I am rebuilding the engine on. There are several studs on the left side of the block that go through into the water jacket and some on the right that go through into the valve lifter cavity. I coated all these studs with a sealant before screwing them into the block to keep them from leaking like you must have. I know one was the stud that is in the throttle bracket. Roger
