The answer is correct. The "J" was appended so that the service technicians/partsmen would know that a particular Cub was equiped with a Rockford clutch and not the Auburn. Otherwise the tractor would have to be split to tell the difference. If you want to learn more about your Cub, click on the Cub Manual Server link below.
