From my years growing up in a Farmall dealership behind the parts counter, I can offer that the 43962 DC is a replacement or supercession of the 43962 DB part number. While it may or may not be the same cam grind, it is the "functional replacement," according to the way I recall the IH parts numbering system.

Hugh MacKay or anyone else knowledgeable, please correct me if I'm wrong here...but that's how I recall the IH parts numbering system. If the part was completely different, the base number, rather than just the suffix, would change...if I recall correctly.
