THe 886 is areal good tractor,I used to own one. The only reason I sold it was because sold the farm. If you want to make it more fuel efficent, add a turbo. That's what I did,used a tubo made by M&W added 20hp and cut fuel use to 3-4 gal. per hour compared to6-7 gal. per hour.Nothing else was done, just added turbo
