Dave, you're about to get yourself one heck of a tractor!!!! It is a newer version of a 444 diesel. Those things run FOREVER!! On our farm, we've used that series of tractors starting with a 434 in 1969, and still have a couple around today. We have a 384 that we bought new in 1983, the last one our dealer could get, he actually had to bring it from Quebec for us! It now has about 12000-15000 hours on it, can't tie it down any closer than that cause the tach is busted and can't keep em working. LOL Ours has hauled out about 300 cords of wood per year since it was new, along with all the loader duty until 1990 when we bought a new tractor with another loader. It still does a lot of farm work and hauls out wood. It's had one engine job at around 9000 hours, and is on the original clutch. They have the mechanical disk brakes that you will have to service each year ( not replace just clean up), and if you do a lot of heavy lifting with a loader you'll replace the odd front spindle. If you don't have a loader, they'll last forever. If you hadn't guessed, I love those tractors, they're the most tractor for the money, ever built by ANY company!! IMHO LOL If you want to talk to me, feel free to email from the link. Dave
