I have a 1940 M serial # 14815, and It has three point hitch, live two way hydraulic, wide front end, and flat top fenders where I mounted a dual lever hydraulic control, and I made most of this stuff or at least installed it all myself, and don't have hardly anything in it. And once you get the flat tops on, you will wonder how you ever got along without them. You can bungee your water jug to them, mount a toolbox on them, mount your hydro controls on them, and after about an hour when your butt gets tired, you can lean over and put your elbow on one or the other and rest the other cheek a little, and if you're really stupid like me, and on a level flat field, you can sit on one and watch back to see what you are doing behind you and not have to crink your neck around, although I know guys, this ain't safe, smart, logical, or even worthy of mentioning, but it has been done. Anyway, I built the flat tops out of 2x2 square tubing and 1/8 " flat steel, and then painted them and edged them so they weren't sharp, and i wouldn't be without them. Good luck.
