I have a 46 A that originally had a starter push rod. I know this because the switch is turned around from what my father's Super A has with its push rod. Someone had taken the lift-all lever and rigged it up as the starter push rod, which didn't work very well. I have looked for reproduction starter push rods but have found only the pull rods. I found an original push rod on eBay and bought it. They are about half the length of the pull rods and shouldn't be that hard to make for someone who is handy with metal working. OEM, Inc. may be making them by now.
