Well if you want to stack the hay a loader is a must, also a wide front end is safer if you have a loader. As far as size most smaller Farmalls don't have the wide front ends but can be found with them as after market set ups. Not to knock Farmalls but there are a lot of fords that would fit your bill. I my sefl have Fords, Farmalls, Olivers, Allis and JDs all get used differantly but all of them are good. If you still want to go with a farmall an H up to a 560 would probably do you good.
