Aside from the obvious heat hazard to nearby wiring, sheet metal and the like, running with a cracked manifold will cause no harm.

I've had good luck temporarily patching a cracked exhaust manifold by covering the crack with fiberglass or Nomex fabric, then securing the fabric with a worm gear hose clamp wrapped around the manifold. Not pretty, but it will keep the fire where it belongs inside the manifold until it can be replaced.
