I have no idea what 9749 means, except that I'm sure it has nothing to do with a 49 C. As to a new carb, try Denny's Carb Shop, 937-368-2304. If they don't have that exact model--it wasn't on very many tractors, there are others that will fit. Unless your carb is totally shot, you will save a lot of money by putting a kit in it. My fingers are getting tired. You need an Operator's, Parts, and Service manual, and a subscribtion to Red Power Magazine, which contains ads for about every parts place in existence. Good Luck.
