I have had this problem as well. Check the conections for the ignition wiring and make sure they are clean. Also make sure you are running a good size wire up to the ignition. The starter takes most of the batteries current, and if you have a wiring problem the current drops to low to give a good spark. Then when you pull it or coast it, it gets plenty of current and starts right up.
