Check you timing. I had one farmall H that was out of time it di the same thing it would roll over good not start not start pull start it and wham it would run in lest than 10 feet. I don't know why but I checked the timing and it was off fixed it and it runs good. Also had a problem with the carb one time. pull start it would start up. I just think that maybe that when you pull start it that it rolls it over at a little faster speed than the starter. and yes it would run good after pull started. one other thing you can try to do is hook up a 12 volt battery to roll it over. that might just be enough jucie there to start it. I know it isn't really the safest thing to do but it worked for a test. good luck Chad
