You would have to take the head off and replace the valve and valve guide to correct a stuck or sticking valve. You can try the hotter spark plug only trouble with the d-21 is that its to hot if you work the tractor hard it will cause prignition. In MN with the 10% ethonal blend I have to run D15Y plugs to keep my farmalls from pinging. I guess my best advice would be to do a commpression test before you replace any parts. You can borrow or rent a tester from a parts store or rental place. Takes only about 20 min's and it will rule in or out mechanical problems and you can go from there. Scott.
