Farmall C or Super C Serial number

I recently purchased a Farmall either a C or Super C. The serial nr. does not seem to fit the posted serial nr on many of the web sites that I have visited to determine if it is a C or Super C. All decals were gone many years ago so no help there. Any way the plate on the right side of the tool box under the seat list the following:
Model FC-
Serial Nr. 125557 According to the FC it should be a "C" but the serial nr does not seem to fit the posted serial numbers on Web sites. Can any one help me??
