There's no place to hook the GEN light into a TRUE 1 wire alternator. If your going to run a GEN light anyway, get a 3-wire Delco alternator. From the terminal that is "HOT" only with the key on, on the ignition switch, connect 12 Volts to one side of the oil light, one side of the generator light, and to the terminal on the fuel gauge labelled "IGN". The other side of the oil light goes to the oil sender, the other side of the GEN light goes to terminal #1 on your 3-wire Delco. Terminal #2 on the Delco alternator is jumpered to the big output stud on the alternator, which is connected to the battery with heavy gauge wire, usually to the stud on the starter solenoid, where the battery cable attaches.
