Feeling Dumb

Putting new bearings in the SMTA. Got Cam bearings in after considerable effort. Then put in main bearings, same oversize as ones I took out. The front and rear bearing caps were not marked as the rod caps are. Thought I had them right but when I torqued bearings the engine tightened up to where I had to use a big bar to turn it over. Hooked up rod bearings. Lostened mains and engine would turn. Put one half of old main bearing in and still tight. Finally changed front and rear bearing caps. Engine turns over fine now with new bearigs. Thought about that option early on but thought they were right. Next time will mark them better when removing them.
