Odds are you did not need that particular kit. Unless yours was somehow damaged which you cannot know until teardown. All I put in my control valve was O -rings. Anyway I did mine complete for about $300 and I had to buy a new chain link part inside that cost me $100 and you are so right about parts cost gouging on these tractors. I have a 354. There is a metric hydraulic fitting on the power steering cylinder. It is unique and IH wants $50 for this 90 degree fitting! So far I haven't bought it. Sure would like to find one cheaper.
