Just got back from the barn. My dipstick measures 11&1/4 inches from the top of the filler tube. The full mark is located 2" up from the bottom. This would mean that full is 9&1/4" down from the top of the filler tube. Suggest using a heavy guage wire (like #9) & bending a loop at the top & notching it at the full mark. You could then hang it on the tractor for fast checks. Hope this helps. Lynn

I saved this post from quite a while ago, hope it helps.I used a piece of wire and brazed it to a fender washer just big enough that it wouldn't fall down the pipe but I can still screw the cap on.Ed
