Circulation is detectible by swirling water in the radiator after the thermostat starts to open. Problem is, until you put a load on it, the therm will crack, let in a little water, and shut back down. Hard to detect movement that way. Course you could block air to the radiator and speed up the process. Just remember to remove the blockage...I forgot one time. Tractor started really running hot and couldn't figure out why until I went forward and saw the plastic bag over the grille. Checking for flow is dangerous after it warms up you know,as you usually have a pressure cap and taking it off when warm/hot subjects you to steaming water so be careful if you choose to do that. txblu (N.
