I probably should not respond to posts about tractors I have only read about -- sometimes the info is incorrect. But, according to a book I have: The 404 was built from 1961-1967, was equipped with a live pto in "about" 1964 -how's that for accuracy? 1964 farmall SN's are 2259-2567, International 6452-8491. Had 4 speed transmission with two ranges, hydrostatic power steering and a dry air filter. The 3-point hitch had draft control. It may have been an option, since the one you mention has an aftermarket 3-point. The 404 and 504, I believe were the 1st IH tractors hydrostatic power steering, dry air filters, and draft control 3-points. The 504 had had an oil cooler for the hydraulic fluid mounted in front of the radiator, another first.
