The V8 engine in the 68 series tractors is no match for the 66 series DT 436 inline 6 cylinder engine. When I bought my new 1566 in 1976, i would not consider a V8 diesel. The 68 series tractors are far more colectable because of the engine and two chrome exhaust stacks. I put over 9000 hours on the 1566 in a 20 year period. Ray
