Standard axle was for max of 80 inch rear tread. That was measured at center of rims. Two optionals were available, 88 inches and 100 inches. These (especially the 100 inch are a pain because when used at normal wheel spacings, they stick out so far, the likelyhood of catching them in close quarters is a near certainty. If you catch one on something solid, the front end can come up in a heartbeat!
