350 Utility Questions

Greetings,

I'm in the process of buying my first tractor. I'm looking into a 350U diesel, but I had a couple questions which I figure someone here can probably answer.

First, I know the 350 diesel has a Continental engine, not IH. Is this a direct start or does it use glow plugs like the 460/560? Are parts still available for this engine? If so, does anyone have a good source?

Second, one of the tasks for the tractor will be to clear snow from the 1/4 mile long driveway. What's the best tool for this, a blade or loader bucket?

What model IH loader is suited for the 350?
