Originally would have been a straight 80 or 90 weight because that was the only thing available. You now have a choice, a multiweight 80-90, I think maybe an 85W-140 weight, or just go ahead and use Hy-tran, The hy-tran may be a little thinner, thus it will find the marginal oil seals a little quicker and leak, but that seal would eventually need replaced anyhow. Lots of people use the hy-tran, and I believe that is what your Case-IH dealer would recommend.
