Check fuel supply first. If you still have the strainer with the glass bowl on the bottom of the tank, shut off the valve, remove the bowl and clean the screen at the top of the bowl. You might also place a catch pan under the strainer assembly, open the valve and run some possible trash out of the tank. If someone has replaced the original with a fuel line and filter, replace the filter. How does it sound when it quits? Does it quit like the switch is turned off or does it sputter a few times and then quit. Are you loaded when it quits etc? Do you see fuel dripping out of the bottom of the carb. If you see fuel dripping out of the bottom of the carb then you are probably getting enough fuel and the carb is malfunctioning. Remove the intake air hose to the carb and if fuel runs out of there you have a sticking or sinking float or a needle valve sticking open. A single piece of a grass blade or a fleck of rust can stick the needle valve on the float open. Sometimes a good cleaning of the carb will cure the problem. When you confirm fuel is not the problem, go to ignition. More information if you need it.

"Run in the house and get me a...."as I open th
