It isn't suddenly losing power, and then dying because of stuck rings. Not to say that you don't have some stuck rings, but it sounds to me like you have a carburetor problem that is causing your power and stalling problem. Marvel Mystery Oil is revered by some for it's ability to loosen stuck rings. I don't use the stuff, so I pass this along without comment, for what it's worth. How many hours have you worked the tractor since you've "re-activated" it? Often, the more you use it the better the rings will seat, and the better it will run.
