You're not far off on price. I watch them sell all over the country in your price range. Timing is an issue also. You can get hundreds more by selling now right before hay season to a hobby farmer. Geography plays a good part in this too.
Nationally, the average for an unrestored MTA needing some work seems to be in the $3-3500 range. I won't even try to explain what some people will do at an auction.
