Cowman: When you first posted this I thought the name Chase sounded familiar. I still think Chase Plow Co. sounds familiar, however this is what I found. Chase Motor Truck Co. 1908 in Syracuse NY, and by 1919 it was the Chase Tractors Corperation Ltd. in Toronto ON and Milwaukee WI. It says after 1921 Chase tractors disappeared forever. Make note they working their way west.

They may have been like you and many others and heeded the call," Go West Young Man Go West." Could be something you may do a search on, small world, could be the same family.
