For years, the 350D had received a steady diet of non-detergent 30 weight when we changed the motor oil. On the last oil change I switched to 15W-40 and shortly thereafter it developed a leak when the engine is running at the base of the injector housing where it bolts to the engine block. I guess I'm not suprised lighter oil found a place to leak. However, before I take this apart, what exactly is the interface between the injector and the block? Is there a gasket there, or is it metal to metal? Would using the gasket-in-a-tube stuff work, or should I get a proper fitted gasket from the CNH dealer?
