First suggestion is get a copy of the original parts, repair, and operators manuals from Binder Books. Second, find a friendly IH dealer near you or call Carter and Gruenwald for the parts you will need. I would remove the whole rear end assembly if I were you and then do the job. Removing the rear end isn't too hard. As you know, the clutch is mounted on the front of the transmission rather than the rear of the engine. The good news is that parts for the 154 aren't as expensive as the 184 but not nearly as cheap as the regular Cubs. Best of luck.
