I am not a mechanic but what I would do is first mark the roter to where it is in relation to which cylinder it it on then mark the mag ( on top where it bolts to the tractor) so you know where the correct mag timing position is. Next, take the mag off, mark the grove on the mag to the mag housing then mark the other grove end that is still in the tractor to the housing. In theory everything should line up when assembling. The part that I am not sure of is there is a bushing that has to be replaced then correctly reamed to the drive shaft.
