Dale, When does it hunt? If it's sitting and idling, or just driving down the road and hunting, my guess would be either a carb, or a likneage problem...this means your governor is functioning, but something is making it work when it shouldn't, or the engine is using the governor to keep it from stalling. If you get rapid fluctuation when you rev it up to high RPM, mutch mor rapid than what I would call hunting, then like Gary said; your bumper spring is probably at least out of adjustment, or more than likely rusted and broken. Take the acorn nut off, and remove the spring, clean the tube that it sits in out (there will most likely be alot of rust and maybe even moisture in there.) Then if the spring is not broken, lube things up, and put the spring back in, just keep tightening and testing; when you can rev it up to full quickly without getting it bouncing, you have it right. Like Gary said, Cs and Super C's are known for this problem...just replaced one on one of our Super Cs recently. Good luck, Pete
