I usually try to use a pocket knife or screwdriver to pry under the lip of the hose, but you have to be really careful if it is on thinner metal so you dont bend anything. Other times I just use a hacksaw blade and cut the hose in the middle where there is no metal so I can get the parts seperated. Also you might could use a razor blade and cut along the hose lip down the outlet and pry the hose to loosen it that way. Usually I only cut the hose when it is too crusty to reuse though.
