'55 300

I'm looking at buying a '55 300 Farmall. It's been outside most of it's life which was obvious when I went to start it. When I push the lever forward (while rolling) for the TA it acts like a parking brake. How serious could this be? I am mechanically inclined but don't have the means to split the tractor. Tractor has a loader so I'm looking for a value to make an offer. I've had experience with Farmall and want to have one of my own! Please e-mail wldfftr@famvid.com with any info or suggestions.
